Party unity to implement constitution: Minister KC

NUWAKOT, April 22: Minister for Urban Development Arjun Narsing KC has stressed on the unity of political parties for the implementation of the constitution. 

In an interaction organized by the Democratic Thought Forum in the district headquarters here today, Minister KC who is also the leader of ruling Nepali Congress focused on the unity of all political parties for implementation of the constitution and holding local poll. 

He added that the local levels were made powerful to exercise all rights including legislative, executive and even judicial and therefore the constitution should be fully implemented with the unity of all. 

Also speaking at the programme, parliamentarian Bahadur Singh Lama Tamang pointed out the need for the victory for the Nepali Congress's candidates in the local level election to uphold the ideals of the BP Koirala's National Unity and Reconciliation policy as well as the principle of socialism. 

Similarly, NC Nuwakot Chapter President and parliamentarian Jagadishwar Narasingh KC argued that the persons liked by the people should be fielded by the NC rather than from a certain faction. 

Likewise, Forum central chairperson Dr Kedar Narsingh KC stated that the upcoming election was of an immense importance and suggested the voters to make a well informed choice when it comes to casting vote to the capable candidates. 

Democratic Thought Society senior vice-chair Kulchandra Wagle said that the Society has offered suggestions to the Nepali Congress to take into account the foreign policy, social justice, senior citizen residence, democracy and the values of socialism among others in the NC's election manifesto that it is going to issue. 

Present at the programme were NC's local leaders and cadres who univocally stated that the role of the Forum was important in keeping the NC steadfast in implementing the party's ideals and policies. 

Suggestions were solicited from the NC's local cadres and leaders for the declaration due to issue by the NC in view of the upcoming election. RSS
