KATHMANDU Feb 19: Westerly winds and a western low-pressure system are partially influencing the country's weather, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM). As a result, Koshi Province and Nepal’s hilly regions are experiencing partially cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear. Fog has covered some areas of the Terai.
The DHM predicts that the weather will stay partly cloudy in the hilly regions, including Sudurpaschim Province, during the daytime, while other areas will have clear skies. Light snowfall may occur in one or two places in the high hills and mountainous regions.

At night, clouds will increase in the hilly regions of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Lumbini provinces, while other areas will remain partly cloudy. The high hills and Himalayan regions may also witness light snowfall in one or two locations.
Over the next 24 hours, the DHM expects light snowfall in one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas. Some parts of the Terai will likely experience fog on Thursday morning. The department has advised caution, as these conditions could partially impact daily life, health, road transportation, and aviation.
