KATHMANDU, Oct 15: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that there is partial influence of monsoon winds in the eastern parts of the country.

The weather in the hill areas of the country is partly cloudy to normal, and the weather in the rest of the country is generally clear today.

According to the MFD, the weather will be generally clear in the rest of the country, with partial to moderate showers in the hill areas of the country this afternoon. The officials of the MFD said there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at a few places in the hill areas of the country.

The weather will be partly cloudy to normal in the mountainous areas of the country, while the weather will be clear in the rest of the country tonight. There is a possibility of light rain at a couple of places in the hill areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

The officials of the MFD have urged the public to take necessary precautions as there is a possibility of rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in various parts of the country.
