Police Inspector Khagendra Prasad Rijal said that the chewing tobacco worth over Rs 100,000 were illegally imported via Matiarwa checkpoint of Bara district based on a tip off.Rijal said that the impounded chewing tobacco and a motorcycle (Ba 24 Pa 4307) used for transporting it would be send to the Revenue Investigation Office, Pathalaiya.
However, police said that the smuggler is on the run. The smuggling of chewing tobacco has increased from different checkpoints of Bara district has increased in the recent days after the police took stern measures to stop in the entry of the chewing tobacco from Parsa. RSS
