KATHMANDU, July 21: The Parliamentary Special Inquiry Committee has completed its inquiry with the former finance minister Janardan Sharma. Sharma was interrogated for about three hours.
Sharma did not respond to the media while leaving the meeting. He said that he has answered everything in the committee and they will provide the required information.
Former finance minister Sharma has been facing accusations of manipulating tax rates in the budget for fiscal year 2022/23 just to favor a handful of business houses and attempting to hide the evidence. An 11-member parliamentary special investigation committee was formed on July 6 to conduct the necessary investigation into the incident.
