Lawmaker Dr Sharma provides Rs 2 million to children's hospital

KATHMANDU, April 18: Member of the House of Representatives (HoR) and medical entrepreneur Dr. Sunil Sharma has donated two million rupees to the Children's Hospital, which is under construction at the initiative of Cardiothoracic Surgeon Dr. Bhagwan Koirala.

KATHMANDU, April 18: Member of the House of Representatives (HoR) and medical entrepreneur Dr. Sunil Sharma has donated two million rupees to the Children's Hospital, which is under construction at the initiative of Cardiothoracic Surgeon Dr. Bhagwan Koirala.


Parliamentarian Sharma visited the under-construction Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH) at Hepali Height in Kathmandu on Thursday and provided financial support. Dr. Sharma said he provided the financial support to the hospital as a gesture of respect for Dr. Koirala and his noble cause.

KIOCH has outlined a plan to construct specialized children's hospitals in all seven provinces, including Kathmandu. Dr. Koirala is the Chairperson of KIOCH. A hospital of KIOCH is already operational in Damak, Jhapa. KIOCH plans to construct a 100-bed hospital in Kathmandu.


KIOCH Chairperson Dr. Koirala shared that plans are underway to construct 50-bed hospitals in all seven provinces after the one in Kathmandu is completed.
