Shah turned up at Royal Casino, owned by his brother-in-law Raj Bahadur Singh, demanding immediate reinstatement of a security manager who was ousted by the casino management a few days ago. [break]
He reprimanded the management for sacking Tek Bahadur Chand, a former police inspector. He also spoke in favor of casino workers, warning management to resume within a week all their facilities that were curtailed in recent months. “If there is any defiance of my instructions, I know what I´ll do next week,” a casino worker present on the occasion told Republica.
Following Paras´ instructions, Chand returned to work on Wednesday.
“His words sounded very hard but he didn´t lose his temper or manhandle anybody,” said workers requesting anonymity. His brother-in-law was not present at the casino at that time.
Casino workers wondered why Paras had to act that way in the middle of the night at his own brother-in-law´s business establishment.
Paras was acquitted in the Chitwan shooting case two weeks ago but the district court had directed him to correct his public behavior and gave him a month to furnish a written commitment.
