Paragliding clinch Dandi-Biyo title

KATHMANDU, June 11: Nepal Paragliding and Hang-gliding Association clinched the First Inter Association Dandi-Biyo Tournament title on Thursday in the final held at the National Sports Council premises, Kathmandu. [break]



In the competitive final match, Paragliding beat Nepal International Taekwondo Federation (NITF) 284-262. Omkar Budhamagar of NITF top scored with 130 points but his input was not enough for them to win the match.



With the win, Paragliding bagged a purse of Rs. 20,00, while the runner up, NITF, received Rs. 15,000. Suresh Panthi of Paragliding was presented with the man-of-the-series award.



Likewise, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) finished third. CAN defeated Nepal Jeetkundo Martial Arts Association 252-233 riding on the 86 points from Birat Rayamajhi. CAN received a cash prize of Rs 10,000.



Prem Kunwar, a National Planning Commission member, and others presented the winners with the prizes.



Altogether, 19 teams participated in the six-day-long tournament organized by Nepal Dandi-Biyo Association.
