Pangolin scales seized

SINDHUPALCHOK, Sept 2: Police on Saturday night seized one kg of pangolin scales from Kadambas-6 along the Araniko highway. The person carrying the scale of the rare Chinese pangolin, however, fled after seeing the police.



This is the sixth incident of the seizure of pangolin body parts over the last two years. According to the police, smuggling of pangolin body parts is on the rise lately. Chinese people believe that pangolin scales can heal swelling, increase blood circulation and help nursing mothers produce milk.
