Bidhan Shrestha represents the younger generation of Nepali music. He is known for his unique vocal performance and selection of songs. Bidhan grew up in a musical family and groomed himself under the mentorship of his father Bijay Shrestha, a known musician and lyricist based in Sunsari. Later, Bidhan trained himself under Ambar Gurung.

Paleti is a micro series musical concert organized at nepalaya’s r’sala, where singers and musicians come together on a mini platform and perform in close proximity with the audience. Paleti is organized to revitalize Nepali Contemporary (Adhunik) music and close the gap between the singer/musician and the listeners. Paleti had resumed last month after a gap of several years presenting songs and poems of Poet Dinesh Adhikari. Paleti is organized at nepa~laya’s ‘r’ sala for a limited audience on a first come basis.

It is strange to see that the culture of solo concerts have not progressed much in Nepal. More than 75% of artists who have appeared in Paleti concerts realize, they never performed a solo show and Paleti happens to be their debut solo performance.
