KATHMANDU, Jan 22: The president of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi met with the Nepali K-2 expedition team on Thursday.
According to the Embassy of Nepal in Pakistan, a ten-member Nepali K-2 Winter Expedition team called on the President yesterday. While welcoming the Nepali mountaineers, the Pakistani president said that their remarkable achievement would project Pakistan’s soft image as well as boost tourism in the country.

He congratulated the team on surmounting K-2 in harsh winter. He appreciated the courage and strength of Sherpas which had done a marvelous job by conquering the second highest peak of the world.
