Pakistan-Nepal trade fair kicks off in capital

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: 'Pakistan-Nepal Friendly Trade Fair 2019' has kicked off at United World Trade Center in Tripureshwor in the capital on Monday.

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: 'Pakistan-Nepal Friendly Trade Fair 2019' has kicked off at United World Trade Center in Tripureshwor in the capital on Monday. 


The Pakistani embassy in Nepal and Nepali embassy in Pakistan have jointly organized the fair with the objective of further expanding bilateral trade between the two South Asian countries. The fair will last for a week.

Inaugurating the fair, Pakistani envoy to Nepal Dr Mazhar Javed said that the fair would further strengthen trade ties between two countries. 


Coordinated by Lalitpur chapter of Federation of Commerce, Pakistani leather products are major attractions during the fair. Along with Pakistani goods, Nepali handicraft items are also being traded.


This fair also aims to expand the market for the products of both the countries, said Krishna Lal Maharjan, the chairperson of Lalitpur chapter of Federation of Commerce.
