KATHMANDU, May 31: Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu arranged a chartered flight to repatriate stranded Pakistani nationals on Monday.
Pakistani nationals, who had arrived in Nepal for various purposes and in different time frames, were stranded in Nepal after the government suspended all international flights to and from Kathmandu in a bid to contain further spread of COVID-19 cases.
607 Nepalis return home in four repatriation flights
The chartered flight of Himalaya Airlines H95891 from Kathmandu to Lahore of Pakistan not only enabled return of 62 Pakistanis but also facilitated rerun of 14 Nepalese doctors, who are studying in various medical institutions in Pakistan.
The flight took off from TIA Kathmandu at 9:50 AM and is scheduled to return today around 4:00 PM.
