The House committee also directed the government to open bid for construction and to sign the construction agreement by the end of this fiscal year, 2016/2017. The committee has also directed the Ministry of Finance to provide necessary budget to start the works related to the fast track.

Scrapping all accords related to the development of the fast track with an Indian consortium led by Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS), the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport on November 21 had decided to take forward the project on its own.
