Black Sabbath played their final show on Feb. 4 of 2017 and, like the rest of the farewell shows, they did it without original drummer Bill Ward. Ozzy Osbourne has been outspoken about his former bandmate's current physical state, but recently bemoaned the fact that the drummer wasn't part of Sabbath's final chapter.

The Prince of Darkness stated multiple times in the past that he didn't enjoy Sabbath's farewell run and in an interview with Kerrang!, the singer harped on the fact that Ward wasn't there to take part in it all. "I didn’t like the fact that Bill Ward wasn’t there, for a start. People put that down to me, but it wasn’t me, honestly," he began.
Noting that time was of the essence, Osbourne continued, "We [Sabbath] didn’t have the fucking time to hang around, we had to get going, but I’m sorry it didn’t work out with Bill. Tommy [Clufetos] did great, but the four of us started this, and it should have been the four of us ending it," he affirmed.
"Those final gigs in Birmingham were bittersweet because you think of how far we came, and how much we did, and it would have been good to have shared that together," Osbourne said, holding out hope that the four original members will hit the stage again. "Maybe one day there’ll be one last gig, I don’t know."
Following Black Sabbath's final tour, Ozzy announced his final tour as a solo artist. The "No More Tours 2" run has been plagued by postponements due to a host of medical setbacks, the most recent being the dislodging of metal rods in the singer's body after a fall at home. Both the North American and European tours have been rescheduled for 2020.
