KAPILVASTU,Jan 21: As many as 430 Buddhists, who came here from South Korea, paid visit to the Buddha's land at ancient Kapilvastu and offered collective prayers for the global peace.

The South Koreans made the prayers en masse after reaching Tilaurakot, Bhamaniya Twin Stupa and Nigrodharam (Kudan) on Friday.

It was a very fortunate moment to visit Buddha's playground after offering collective prayers at Nigrodharam, shared chief monk of AAST Post in Seoul, South Korea, Peu Parun Sanim.
A huge number of Buddhists come to Nepal from Korea every year to visit sites where Buddha was born and brought up.

Tilaurakot is the playground of Buddha while Twin Stupa is considered to be the monument of his father and mother. Likewise, Nigrodharma is popular as a site where Buddha delivered his preaching to several Buddhism followers including his son Rahul after he attained enlightenment.
