KATHMANDU, Sept 28: Under the command of Senior Superintendent of Police Basanta Rajaure from the Kathmandu District Police Range, a total of 3,060 police personnel have been mobilized in Kathmandu for rescue and relief operations following the monsoon-induced disasters triggered by incessant rain over the past three days.
As reported by the police, floods and landslides have claimed nine lives in Kathmandu, left 10 injured, and six missing. Among the missing, five were buried in landslide debris and one was swept away by a river. A total of 589 individuals have been rescued, and so far, 1,244 houses have been affected by the floods and landslides.

Additionally, 74 livestock, including pigs, dogs, and chickens, have been swept away, and eight police offices have been inundated.
