Orient Fans enters Nepal

KATHMANDU, March 16: Premier Overseas, a subsidiary of Sharda Group, has launched products of Orient Fans, a subsidiary of India´s CK Birla Group, in the domestic market.



Orient Fans on Saturday also announced Premier Oveseas as the authorized distributor for Orient´s products in Nepal. [break]



The company has launched basic fans to high-end ceiling, wall, stand, table, and exhaust fans.



According to Binit Kumar Sharda, the managing director of Premier Overseas, the fans are available in the price range of Rs 2,000 to Rs 10,000.



The company also launched home appliances such as iron, air coolers, room heaters and water heaters, among others, on Saturday.



Premier Overseas has opened a service center at Thapathali to provide after sales service to its customers. The company provides 1 to 3 years warranty on its products depending on the model.



"Products of Orient Fans consume 10 to 15 percent less energy than same products available in the Nepali market," said Gurmeet Singh, vice president and head of sales and marketing at Orient Fans.



Singh added that Orient Fans is the first fan company in India to export fans to the US.
