Opposition parties obstruct HoR meeting again

KATHMANDU, April 10: The opposition parties obstructed the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today again.


The main opposition parties Nepali Congress (NC), Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) obstructed the meeting.

As soon as the emergency hour was over, the members of opposition parties rose from their seats and disrupted the meeting. Speaker Devraj Ghimire said that the meeting would be adjourned until 11 AM on April 14.          


This obstruction follows Tuesday's meeting, which was also obstructed by NC lawmakers demanding the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee to investigate Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane for his alleged involvement in misappropriating cooperative funds.
