KATHMANDU, Feb 9: OPPO smartphones recorded 133 percent year-on-year growth in 2016, according to a latest result from independent research firm IDC.

Issuing a statement, OPPO said that its products’ excellent design paired with excellent photography has also helped to maintain its position as number four smartphone brand globally by market share and earn number one spot in China for the two most recent quarters.


According to IDC, OPPO enjoyed 6.8 percent share in global smartphone market. OPPO had four straight quarters of greater than 100 percent year-on-year growth, the statement added. OPPO extended its business in 26 more countries in 2016, according to the statement.
