Only colleges with 100-bed hospitals can teach nursing: Minister Paudel

CHITWAN, Dec 7: Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Devendra Paudel, has said that only those colleges which have their own 100-bed hospitals could run teaching and learning activities of nursing.

CHITWAN, Dec 7: Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, Devendra Paudel, has said that only those colleges which have their own 100-bed hospitals could run teaching and learning activities of nursing.  


Talking to media persons at Chitwan on Tuesday, Minister Paudel opined that no one should do anything by going beyond the Act formulated by the Medical Education Commission.

The education minister further said that the colleges meeting the criteria could run teaching-learning activities of nursing while the discussion was underway in the case of other colleges. 


He opined that a meeting held at the ministry a few days ago had asked all the colleges having 100-bed hospitals to start teaching-learning activities.
