The zone will see a total of 30 women candidates, including two independent candidates, contesting in the polls. Of them, 23 women candidates, including two independent ones, have filed their candidacy from various constituencies of Dang district, three from Salyan, two from Rolpa, and one each from Pyuthan Rukum district. The three major parties -- Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and UCPN (Maoist) -- have picked four women candidates, while the small parties have nominated 17 women candidates from Dang district. “There are five women candidates from constituency 1, three from constituency 2, four from constituency 3, three from constituency 4 and six from constituency 5,” said District Election Office, Dang.
