LONDON, March 19: Active online journalist Krishna Dhungana has been awarded with UK based-Sita Devi International Online Journalism Award.
Journalist Dhungana has been awarded with cash prize US dollar 500. The Sita Devi Foundation felicitates the journalists who are active in the online media in every two years. The foundation had called for the registration of the online media journalist. The jury finalized the name of journalist Dhungana for the year 2017 among the applicants.
Dhungana receives int’l online award
Dhungana is one of the founder members of the first commercial online Parewa.com. He has experienced of active journalism in various national media house. Currently, Dhungana is news coordinator of Nagariknews.com of Nepal Republic Media.
Dhungana is the second recipient of the award. Earlier, Umesh Shrestha of Pahilopost.com was felicitated with the award.
Founder Secretary of Non Resident Nepali (NRN) and social activist Chiranjivi Dhakal has established the award in memory of his mother Sita Devi Dhakal.
