RAUTAHAT, Sept 30: One more rape case of a minor has surfaced in Rautahat district.
The 15-year-old girl from Katariya municipality-1 was raped at a paddy field nearby her house on Monday. Police have arrested a local Indal Das, 25, in connection with the crime.

According to DSP Rabi Rawal, Chief of Area Police Office of Garuda, the girl had gone out to fetch water when the man forcefully dragged her to a paddy field and raped her. She came back home injured and reported the incident to her family. Her father subsequently informed police about the incide
“She left home to fetch water at around 9 pm. She was raped on her way,” said DSP Rawal. “It is under investigation as the court has allowed us a week to keep the suspect in custody.”
Medical tests of the girls have been conducted at District Hospital in Gaur. DSP Rawal said the reports would further guide their investigation.
Violence against women is rampant in Rautahat and rape cases have triggered enough protests in the district even the past.
