The victim has been identified as Bikas Tamrakar of Dharan-10, police said. The bus, Ko 1 Kha 4314, heading towards the west from the east hit the scooter coming from the opposite direction.
Tamrakar’s wife, Anjana, 25, and sister, Saina, 17, who were riding on the same scooter, were critically injured in the incident. They are receiving treatment at Biratnagar.
The bus driver has been arrested and the bus impounded for investigation, the Area Police Office, Pathari stated. RSS
