BIRATNAGAR, Oct 1: A woman was killed and six others were injured when a pick-up van met with an accident at Koshi Rural Municipality-8 in Sunsari district today.
The deceased is Bishnu Maya Jamarkattel, around 60 years, of Itahari-8, according to the East Region Police Office, Biratnagar.

The accident occurred as the pick-up hit an electric pole on the roadside while trying to avoid hitting a cyclist who was crossing the road. Jamarkattel died on the spot in the incident.
Those injured in the accident are Manish Dhamala, Bhagawati Dhamala, Aakriti Dhamala, Bimala Pokharel, Karuna Adhikari and her eight-month-old son Adarsha of Ramdhuni-5, Sunsari district. They are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Inaruwa.(RSS)
