The deceased has been identified as Basudev Budhathoki, 54, of Lamatar in Lalitpur district.[break]
The accident took place when a car (Ba 8 Cha 3615) hit Budhathoki´s motorcycle (Ba 54 Pa 4832) heading towards Jamal from Bhotahiti, according to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division.
The Division said that Budhathoki died while undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital.
Sub-Inspector at the Division, Ramesh Kumar Shrestha, said that the car driver, Kisan Rai, 32, of Kirtipur, was found drunk.
The Metropolitan Police Sector, Darbarmarg, arrested him.
