The deceased has been identified as Jamir Hussein, the son of Rajat Miya, of Gamgadiya in Parsa, police said. The injured person is being treated at Bharatpur Hospital.
Meanwhile, the truck has been missing in the river and only its number plate has been found, police said.
The truck (Na 3 Kha 4972) heading to Narayanghat from Kathmandu had plunged into the river at 11:30 a.m. The accident site lies a kilometer away from the place where landslide had occurred on Sunday morning.
The number of people in the truck is yet to be ascertained.
