One injured in Koteshwor gunfire

KATHMANDU, May 2: A person was injured in gunfire over a minor dispute with his friends on Sunday evening at Koteshwor.



Sunil Prajapati received a bullet on his back.[break]



According to SP Ramesh Kharel, Chief of Metropolitan Police Range Kathmandu, the incident ensued following a dispute among the youths.



Kharel refuted rumors that the incident was a politically motivated.



"Police have identified the assailants and they would soon be arrested," Kharel said.



Prajapati is reportedly out of danger and receiving treatment at Kantipur Hospital in Tinkune.
