One held for posting misleading and offensive contents in the name of PM

KATHMANDU, July 18: Nepal Police held a man for making fake Indian Aadhaar card and income tax card by misusing a photograph of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

KATHMANDU, July 18: Nepal Police held a man for making fake Indian Aadhaar card and income tax card by misusing a photograph of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. 


The Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police arrested 49-year-old Sher Bahadur Rana of Debdaha Municipality in Rupandehi district, who was residing in Butwal city, for posting the photoshopped images of the PM on the social networking sites.

Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of the Bureau, Pashupati Kumar Raya, said that Rana was arrested for publishing and presenting misleading and offensive terminologies that are prohibited by law. 


Accused Rana shall face action on charge of Electronic Transaction Act, 2063 BS and he was arrested after taking approval from the Kathmandu District Court.
