Bir Bahadur Magar, aged around 50 years, was injured when a passenger bus (Lu 1 Kha 4693) heading toward Butwal from Narayanghat hit him at Bhainsakhori of Nawalparasi on Saturday afternoon. He died while being taken to Bharatpur for treatment.
Locals obstructed the East-West Highway for an hour after the incident demanding compensation to the victim. Nawalparasi police have detained the bus and its driver.
Likewise, six persons were injured when a bus (Lu 1 Kha 1862) overturned at Kudiya of Nawalparasi along the Triveni-Bardaghat road on Saturday. The bus overturned while giving way to another vehicle, police said.
