DAMAULI, Feb 2: One person was killed, and 24 others were injured when a passenger bus met an accident near Sirdi of Byas Municipality of Tanahu on Thursday. 

The deceased has been identified as Harkasur Kami of Adheri Bhanjyang of Byas Municipality, according to the Tanahu District Police Office. He was severely injured in the accident and had died on the way to Damauli for medical treatment. 

Of the injured, six are in critical condition. Chij Maya Tahapa of Jamune-1 was rushed to the capital-based Grande International Hospital while Manisha Thapa, Lalmaya Rana, Sukmaya Shrestha and Sabita Thapa of Jamune and Ashmita Shrestha of Manpang-1 were sent to the Pokhara-based regional hospital, Office Chief Superintendent of Police Umesh Raj Joshi said. 

Condition of others is said to be normal and are undergoing treatment at local health institutes in the district. 

The bus (Ga 1 Kha 3288) coming to Damauli from Pokhara overturned on the roadside as the driver lost its control of all sudden. RSS
