CHITWAN, July 16: A person died on the spot and 18 were hurt when a tourist bus and a passenger bus collided at Kurintar along the Prithvi Highway Saturday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Rajan Sharma, 40, of Butwal. He is learnt to be the driver of the tourist bus, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.
The tourist bus (Ba 1 Pa 790) and passenger bus (Na 4 kha 8255) coming from the opposite directions collided at Kurintar in Darechowk VDC-3 at 6:30 pm.
The injured were sent to Kathmandu for further treatment. The tourist bus, however, was carrying students of Valley College at Sitapaila in Kathmandu who were on an educational tour.
