MUGLING, July 22: One person died when two vehicles collided in Chumlingtar, Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-3 of Chitwan along the Prithvi Highway.
According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, a bus (Na 6 Kha 1340) headed for Bajhang from Kathmandu collided with a microbus (Lu 2 Kha 3502) headed for Kathmandu from Bhairahawa on Thursday at 5:30 PM. A man in his 30s whose identity is not yet disclosed died while undergoing treatment at New Medical College.
Truck collision leaves one dead, six injured
Narahari Adhikari, spokesperson for the District Police Office, informed Republica that 17 other people were injured in both vehicles in the accident. According to him, among the injured, the micro driver Kamal Darzi, 25 years old from Butwal Municipality-2 of Rupandehi, is in serious condition. Five of the injured are being treated at New Medical College Bharatpur and 12 are being treated at Old Medical College, police said.
