RATNANAGAR, June 25: The dead body of a police personnel among those disappeared in the landslide that occurred at Kalikhola of Chitwan on Friday was found on Sunday.
The dead body was found in the Narayani River along Rajahar of Nawalparasi, which is around 50-km away from the incident site, informed Senior Superintendant of Police (SSP) at Chitwan Police Office, Deepak Thapa.
The dead body is identified to be of police constable Leel Bahadur Chepang based on the cloths he was wearing. SP Thapa further informed that the dead body was sent to Bharatpur Hospital for post-mortem.
Another police constable Sandeep Karki is still missing in the landslide. The jeep in which they were travelling is also yet to be found.
However, the dead bodies of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Nischal Kumar Tamang and police constable Deepak Kumar Maskey, who had disappeared along with the landslide at Kalikhola of Ichhakamana rural municipality-6 on Friday morning, were found buried on same day. RSS
