KATHMANDU, March 17: Chairman of the main opposition party CPN-UML and leader of the parliamentary party KP Sharma Oli has instructed the party MPs to get involved in the preparations for the local polls.
Addressing a meeting of the party's parliamentary party at the Lhotse Hall of the Parliament building in Naya Baneshwor on Wednesday, Oli gave such instructions. He also claimed that his party would win 65 to 70 percent of the seats in the local elections.

According to Bishal Bhattarai, chief whip of the party, Oli has instructed all to be involved in the preparations for the local polls. During the meeting, Chairman Oli also warned the lawmakers to field qualified candidates in the local level elections.
Chief Whip Bhattarai also claimed that the ruling parties had brought the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana with the intention of not passing it and mocking the court.
