KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Agitating nurses have agreed to return to work after they reached a 10-point deal with the government on Friday evening.

They reached the agreement at talks held at the Ministry of Health and Population. Nursing Association of Nepal (NAN), the umbrella organization of nurses across the country, had halted all services except the emergency ones in all government hospitals and health posts, to press the government meet its demands.

Among others, the association has demanded a raise in salary and allowances, more amenities for them, better working environment and amendment to nursing policy.
