Number of candidates reported lowest in Manang

KATHMANDU, Oct 19:  In the House of Representatives (HoR) election, the mountain district of Manang has the least number of candidates with a total of three candidates.

KATHMANDU, Oct 19:  In the House of Representatives (HoR) election, the mountain district of Manang has the least number of candidates with a total of three candidates.


Palden Chhopang Gurung from CPN-UML, Tek Bahadur Gurung from Nepali Congress and Mukhya Gurung from Rashtriya Swatantra Party have become candidates in this district of only one constituency.

According to the report of constituency wise voters released by the Election Commission, the constituency with the least number of voters is Manang. There are a total of 6,779 voters in Manang. In the election of 2017, CPN-UML's Palden Gurung won from Manang with 2,167 votes, while Nepali Congress’s Tek Prasad Gurung lost with 1,919 votes.
