NTB is swatting flies: Tourism Minister Kiranti

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Sudan Kiranti has said that he has not seen the work of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).

Speaking at a reception organized by the NTB on Friday, the minister said that the NTB has not even kept a citizen's charter.

He said, "When I entered the NTB premises, I didn’t even see a citizen's charter. How do you work in such a situation?" Do you pass your time by swatting flies; I don’t see your work?”

Minister Kirati said that the NTB is engaged in physical development rather than tourism development.

He added, “The board says one thing but does the other. It shows that something is fishy.”
