KATHMANDU, May 18: Nepal Students Union close to Nepali Congress picketed the Nepal Oil Corporation central office at Babarmahal demanding that the petroleum monopoly roll back the recent hike in fuel prices.
NSU leader Deepak Bhattarai urged the NOC to run it transparently adding that the price was hiked arbitrarily.
NSU general secretary Kundan Kafle said that they will continue with the agitation until the government withdraws its latest decision of hiking prices on fuel.
The NSU has also submitted the memorandum to NOC acting executive director Sushil Bhattarai to this effect.
Executive Director Bhattarai, receiving the memo, stated that the price was determined following the rise in the price of petrol in the international market.
