NSP to hold Political Committee meeting today

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: A Political Committee meeting of Nepal Samajwadi Party (NSP) headed by Dr. Baburam Bhattarai is being held today.

Vishwadeep Pandey, head of the publicity department of the party, said that the meeting will form a negotiation team on behalf of the party to initiate unity among the left parties.

The meeting will be held at 11 am at the party's central office in Subidha Nagar, Tinkune. Earlier, the CPN (Maoist Center) meeting formed a negotiation team under the leadership of Vice President Krishna Bahadur Mahara.

On Saturday, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and NSP President Dr. Baburam Bhattarai had a discussion about the party unity. In the election held on November 20, NSP contested the elections with the symbol of Maoist Center symbol. It was also announced then that the party will be unified after the elections.
