NSC, organizing a press conference and issuing a press release, informed that Bista had not been banned and his suspension was also lifted after he furnished clarifications. [break]
According to NSC Member Secretary Hari Babu Chaudhary, Bista informed NSC that he visited Singapore as the Nepal Olympic Committee told him they were rewarding him by appointing him ´chef-de-mission´ and he was unaware of the legal provisions concerning the designation.
"After Deepak´s clarification, we decided to lift his suspension and formed a committee to investigate who tried to use him against NSC and Nepal Taekwondo Association", said Chaudhary.
The probe committee headed by NSC member Min Krishna Maharjan includes NSC members Samim Miya Ansari and Lal Kumar Lama.

Earlier, NSC Vice-president Pitambar Timalsina had misinformed media that NSC had taken a decision to slap a ban on Bista. Timalsina had also claimed that NSC was in the process of rewarding SAG record holder Bista with a house and a vehicle but the procedure was halted after Bista´s Singapore visit.
However, at Monday´s press conference Member Secretary Chaudhary did not answer media queries about Timalsina´s remarks.
After NOC sent Bista to Singapore as ´chef-de-mission´ for the Youth Olympic Games last week, NSC and NTA came up with their action against Bista, stating that he did not inform either organization.
