NRNs’ recovery rate from COVID-19 is 92 percent

KATHMANDU, Oct 4: About 92 percent of the Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) who contracted the coronavirus have recovered and returned to their normal lives.

KATHMANDU, Oct 4: About 92 percent of the Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) who contracted the coronavirus have recovered and returned to their normal lives.


According to the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), 35,916 Nepalis residing in 42 different countries except Nepal have recovered from the virus. The Health Committee of NRNA has stated that a total of 39,528 Nepalis have been infected with COVID-19 as of Saturday evening.

Dr Sanjiv Sapkota, coordinator of the Health Committee, said a Nepali died in South Africa last week. According to the Committee, 266 Nepalis residing in 18 countries have died of COVID-19. New infection cases were detected among Nepalis in countries like Spain, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia last week.
