KATHMANDU, June 30: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has taken action against its 19 technicians involved in rebuilding works at the local levels.
In a press statement, the NRA stated that it took action against 12 engineers, five sub-engineers and two assistant engineers who were involved in reconstruction-related works in Nuwakot, Kavrepalanchowk, Dolakha, Dhading, Bhojpur and Solukhumbu districts.
The engineers are accused of taking bribes from the earthquake-hit people and faking the attendance of government officials. The NRA also scrapped contracts of those engineers who were found involved in cheating the earthquake-hit people.
