The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Puspa Kamal Dahal, who is the chairman of the steering committee. PM Dahal had announced to increase the house reconstruction grant by Rs 100,000 on September 8.
NRA spokesperson Ram Thapaliya said Prime Minister Dahal has asked the steering committee to meet again on Monday.
The government has already provided the first tranche of Rs 50,000 as housing grant for 393,677 earthquake victims so far in 12 quake-hit district including Lalitpur district.
Thapaliya, however, informed that the meeting has not yet to decide when and how will the additional grant be provided.
“Although the government plans to provide the additional Rs 100,000, the source of the fund has yet to be specified,” said Thapalia.
