KATHMANDU, Dec 14: Kathmandu Gurkhas have defeated Pokhara Avengers by six wickets in Saturday’s match held under Nepal Premier League (NPL).
In the match held at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Gurkhas won the match in 14.1 overs at the loss of four wickets. Avengers had posted a 139-run target for Kathmandu Gurkhas.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Avengers made 138 runs at the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. For Avengers, Raymon Reifer gathered 41 runs in 30 balls with three sixes and one four. Similarly, Dinesh Kharel scored 38 runs and Dilip Nath scored 27 runs while other players could not score runs in double digits.
Towards bowling, Gurkhas' Captain Karan KC and Rashid Khan took three wickets each while Gerhard Erasmus and Michael Levitt claimed one wicket each.
For Gurkhas, Stephen Eskinazi scored the highest 60 runs in 34 balls with 10 fours and Michael Levitt scored 32 runs, Gerhard Erasmus scored 25 runs (not out) and Bhim Sarki scored 22 runs.
From the Avengers’ bowling front, Bipin Khatri took three wickets while Michael Leask took one wicket.
