Nepal Police defeated Nepal Army in the semifinal on Tuesday to enter the final. Nepal Army won the first two sets of the match but NPC bounced back to win the last three sets. [break]
NPC won the match 21-25, 18-25, 25-22, 25-21, 15-7. NPC is the only team to have won all the matches in the tournament including the three group stage matches. Sanjay Aryal of NPC was adjudged the man-of-the-match.
In the second semifinal, Western Railway of Gorakhpur, India edged past Sagar Sports Club Uttarakhand, India in straight sets. Railway won the match 25-21, 25-23, 25-19. Binod Singh of the winning side was adjudged the man-of-the-match.
The winner of the tournament will receive Rs 150,000 while the runner-up will get Rs 100,000. The final match will be played on Wednesday, while Nepal Army will take on Sagar Sports in the third place play-off.
