KATHMANDU, September 15: Permanent Account Number (PAN) has to be submitted compulsorily while purchasing a four-wheeler from now onward.

On Thursday, the Inland Revenue Department issued a notice in this regard. Now, while purchasing a four-wheeler, the buyer must submit his/her PAN number and the seller must mention the same in the sales invoice, according to the department.

As mentioned in the budget of the current financial year 2078-79, the department has advised the relevant authorities and the persons involved in professional business or interested parties to implement the mandatory PAN number while renewing the professional certificate.

Point 391 of the budget of the current financial year 2078-70 has made such a provision.
