POKHARA: Senior leader of the CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the Constituent Assembly (CA) polls scheduled for November 19 would not be deferred at any cost.

Speaking at a function in Pokhara on Sunday, Nepal said, “The CA polls would be held on November 19 at any cost.” He also claimed that the Mohan Baidya-led alliance would eventually join the poll process. “We have adopted maximum flexibility in our efforts to bring the Mohan Baidya-led alliance on board the election process,” said Nepal.

He also said that his party was in favor of consensus politics. Claiming that the talks between the government and the Mohan Baidya led alliance is heading in a positive direction, he said, “The election should be held by forging consensus between all the political parties.” Nepal also urged party leaders not to indulge in factional politics.
