Nothing can stop development agenda: Former PM Khanal

ILAM, July 31: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leader and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal said that there were no longer any obstructions to carry on the development works.


At a program organized by Suryodaya Municipality in Ilam district today to unveil the annual budget, policy and program for fiscal year 2019/20, leader Khanal shared that a lot of country and countrymen witness various governance systems such as Rana rule, Panchayati system and transitional time but now onward nothing will hinder making the country prosper.

Stating that the country was in the phase of development, Khanal expressed his confidence that the country would make a stride in the development sector. He viewed that the authoritarian system had ended with the promulgation of the new constitution. Citizens are high-powered. He termed Suryodaya Municipality to be the model municipality in Nepal and underscored the need for other local units to learn from it.


On the occasion, Nepal Communist Party central committee member and member of Province Assembly Dhirendra Sharma 'Raman' said that the country had moved ahead in the direction of prosperity.
